Brookfield School

TRC have recently been awarded the £450k restoration of Brookfield school for the London Borough of Camden. This is a 16 week contract which includes in the works window refurbishment, flat roof renewal for the whole building and curtain wall replacement to the gym.

Latymer Court, Hammersmith  £3m

 

Latymer Court is an 8 storey block of 370 flats, some privately owned, some sublet, some rented and managed by agents. Watts Group PLC commissioned TRC to execute this project in 5 phases, over 63 weeks and at a value over £3m.  Phase 1 (94 flats) has just been completed. The project involves external and internal refurbishment and includes window replacement, brick re-pointing and repairs where necessary, roofing, repair and painting of gutters and downpipes, painting externally and communal areas and stair vestibules internally. We have an on site liaison officer to maintain good relationships and communication with the residents.

 

Hackney Homes Procurement 2010 (Decent Homes)

 

After a rigorous selection process TRC has been chosen as a strategic alliance partner for wooden window repairs.  This framework partnership is between Hackney Council, Hackney Homes, Mulalley, Lakehouse Contracts  and Mansell  Construction Services. It is a 4 year, £384 million programme, refurbishing 31,525 homes

Avenue Road

TRC have recently completed the supply and installation of hardwood sash windows on 2  luxury  £70 million houses in Central London for up market house builder Blenheim House Construction. The contract period was 6 months.

Fenwick, New Bond Street

 

Fenwick asked TRC to repair and paint the windows at the flagship store in New Bond Street.  This was phased over several months and done in sections in order to minimize disruption to trading.  Some of the work was also done outside normal trading hours.  To protect the stock in store from sunlight solar reflective film was incorporated into the new glazing.

The Meridian Building, High Street, Exeter 

Jones Lang Lasalle appointed TRC for the external refurbishment of their Meridian Building in the High Street, Exeter.  This was started in May 2010 and completed in Dec 2010. During this period the shopping centre which houses the bank, shops and offices was fully functional and open throughout the external refurbishment which included roofing, painting, cleaning, glazing and repair to concrete, windows and doors.

Case Studies

Decent Homes Framework, Camden £1.5m+

 

 TRC are preferred contractors for The Apollo Group on the Decent Homes Programme for social housing at various sites in Camden.  This is a 5 year framework which commenced last year. Installation of new high performance windows and doors, timber repairs and window renovation is underway and ahead of schedule. The  windows and doors being overhauled are being fitted with draught excluder and repaired using the Window Care System prior to painting

New End School

TRC were appointed by the London Borough of Camden to carry out brickwork, window repairs, facade cleaning and painting for New End School. The contract period will be for 20 weeks at a value of £440k.
 
Hanworth House
 

Social housing project, Hanworth House – TRC are supplying and installing approximately 800 timber tilt and turn windows for Hanworth House, a social housing project in Southwark. Hanworth consists of 150 units. This contract period is over 16 weeks.

 

Revamp for Shell Headquarters
 
TRC are currently restoring the windows in the 24 storey Shell Headquarters building. The work includes painting, blind replacements and bomb proofing. This £800k contract is being carried out in phases over a 2 year period.
 
Royal Chelsea Hospital
 
TRC were awarded this contract to a new extension at the Royal Chelsea Hospital.
The contract involved the supply and installation of over 300 hardwood sliding sash windows and French doors.
The main contractor was Wates Construction and the works were carried out over a period of 6 months with a value of £550k.
 
 
Grosvenor Crescent
 
TRC have been awarded this contract by Walter Lilly. The work involves replacement timber sash windows to the rear elevation and new extension and the overhauling of the sash windows and French doors to the front elevation. The contract value is £630k and is being carried out over a period of 14 months.
 
 
 
Old Westminster College
 
TRC were awarded this contract by St James Homes, the developers of this prestigious site.
The work involved the restoration of the old college windows, the replacement of the rear elevation bespoke screens that were 8m high and 3m wide.
We also supplied and installed over £400k of aluminium Schuco windows and curtain wall.
The overall contract value was £1.4million and was carried out over a period of 12 months.
 
 
 
Grosvenor Hotel
 
TRC have worked on this project on 2 separate occasions, firstly for Balfour Beatty, when we restored over 3000 windows in 2004 and on the second occasion for John Sisk & Sons, when we supplied and installed 120 French doors for new luxury apartments.
 
 
 
Royal Observatory
 
TRC were awarded this contract by project managers Gardinier & Theobald to restore the windows on this famous grade 1 listed building. The work was carried out over a period of 4 months to the value of £100k.
 
 
 
Edith Neville School
 
TRC Contracts carried out the £350,000 window replacement and external renovation for the London Borough of Camden. This included brickwork, roofing and electrical works which was executed in 2 phases during the school holidays.
 
 
 
St Joseph's School
 
TRC Contracts were awarded the contract for this school extension by ACP architects. ACP selected aluminium clad windows to provide the flexibility required whilst being low maintenance, high security and excellent value for money. The contract included fully integrated doors, opening windows,  screens and circular windows. A complex part of the project required TRC to design, create and install a modern entrance to the building with a curved display area.
 
 
 
The Phillimores
 
TRC were awarded the project to design, supply and install bespoke sliding sash windows for a high quality residential development known as the Phillimores in Kensington. The client for this £1.4 million project was West City, main contractor Wates, and project management by Mace. The special acoustic windows had to match existing and the project required almost daily design meetings in order to meet the extremely tight schedule laid out by the client.
 
 
 
Swindon Listed Buildings
 
Swindon Borough Council awarded TRC the contract to carry out extensive window repairs to 350 of the City's grade 1 listed terraced houses. Regular site meetings took place to ensure the £450,000 contract was successfully executed. The tender required specialist draught-proofing, repair and replacement of traditional sash windows, in keeping with the age and aesthetics of the Victorian properties, which the TRC Contracts team accomplished over a period of two years.
