TRC Restoration is a commercial joinery contractor specialising in timber window restoration and repairs, and particularly heritage sash window restoration.
As window restoration contractors our company is built on a passion to preserve the rich architectural heritage found in buildings throughout the UK. We believe the warmth and character of original timber joinery deserves to be treated kindly, so it can be savoured by generations to come.
Harnessing that passion, our story began in 1994 when the Timber Restoration Company was formed. Now TRC, we have flourished into a 50-strong team which provides specialist joinery services to clients across the UK.
We are an independent company, proud to have built an enviable reputation as one of the country’s most experienced, skilful and knowledgeable window repair contractors.
Our particular expertise is in heritage sash window restoration on large historic buildings.
Our comprehensive service includes seamless resin timber repairs to windows, frames and sills; draught exclusion; glazing upgrades for heritage windows; and installing easy sash removal systems. We also provide authentic ironmongery; and decoration services.

We provide our clients with a complete, integrated window restoration service – offering the peace of mind that comes from dealing with just one supplier. We can also act as principal contractor when required.
Original is best; and we renovate and restore original timber windows whenever possible. But if replacement windows are necessary we can also supply authentic heritage window designs through our sister brand, TRC Windows.
We are proud to have worked on some of the largest and most prestigious window repair and restoration projects in the UK.
We are adept at handling larger contracts efficiently (for example, Grosvenor House, boasting over 3,000 windows), and are trusted by many of the UK’s well-known architectural practices and contractors.

We invest strongly in staff training, in terms of technical skills (for example, Repaircare techniques for resin window repairs) and site safety, including asbestos awareness. We work closely with a health & safety adviser to promote safe site practice at all times.
Most of our window restoration team are multi-skilled, to give our clients the most efficient and flexible service.
We provide assurance of workmanship to the highest quality standard, thanks to our ISO 9001:2008 certification; and we also have a strong environmental awareness. Please refer to our certificates and policies, available to download from this page.
Our headquarters are placed in the inspiring surroundings of Union Wharf, Market Harborough, right beside the glorious Grand Union canal. Our satellite office in South West London supports the many window restoration projects we undertake in the capital.
