On Friday, 4th September 2015, Team TRC took part in ‘The Mudathon 2015’; the first commercial property industry’s charitable extreme mud challenge organised by Paragon. This was a 10km challenge with 16 obstacles over an extreme mud run.
Photo: Team TRC (from left to right) was David Gibson, Stacy Botting, Gary Brown, and Joey Pierce. It was a grueling challenge but Stacy and Joey finished in 1 hour 12 minutes, with David and Gary just behind at 1 hour 18 minutes.
LandAid works to improve the lives of children and young people in the UK who experience disadvantage due to their economic or social circumstances. As a charitable foundation supported by the property industry, LandAid finds ways to apply the generosity and expertise of the industry to this cause.
Heartburn Cancer UK is a national charity, which was founded in memory of Michael McCord who died from oesophageal cancer in 2002. Michael’s death was preventable had he been aware of the danger of long-term persistent heartburn and sought appropriate investigation. He is one of thousands who die each year unnecessarily. HCUK seeks to raise awareness amongst the public and raise funds for much needed research.
Overall it was a well organised event and a fantastic day, and we would like to congratulate all the other teams who got muddied up with us and helped support these good causes.
