Prince’s Trust celebrates 40th anniversary

Prince's Trust LogoFounded in 1976, the Prince’s Trust is celebrating its 40th anniversary today. Over the years the charity has supported more than 825,000 young people across the UK, helping them find stable homes and employment so they can turn their lives around. In the early years of TRC Contracts Ltd, we were able to receive a £2,000 loan from the trust.

Our Beginnings

In 1998, Timber Restoration Company was incorporated under the Companies Act 1985 as a limited company.

In 2001, TRC (formally Timber Restoration Company) were successful in securing works at Osborne House, Isle of Wight, to carry out the sash window refurbishment on the Durbar Wing. Work was carried out on these Grade 1 Monument windows in conjunction with SPAB (Society for Protection of Ancient Buildings).

Following completion in 2002, TRC were invited to meet with Prince Charles at a Gala Dinner when the fully refurbished wing was opened.

In 2003, we had a change of name to TRC Contracts Ltd. We were then successful in securing another project called Devonshire Royal Campus, Buxton and were invited again to meet with Prince Charles.

Since this time we have also worked on Kensington Palace, Windsor Castle and Clarence House.

We are very grateful and thankful for everything the Prince’s Trust has done to help us over the years.
